Apex provide electrical installation, maintenance and compliance services for commercial clients throughout the South East — from small offices and retail units to multi-site landlord portfolios and large commercial fit-outs.
We carry out all commercial electrical work to the current edition of BS 7671 and hold NICEIC Approved Contractor status for commercial premises. We are experienced across a wide range of commercial environments including offices, retail, warehouses, schools, care homes, licensed premises and hospitality.
Our commercial team can manage projects from initial design and specification through to installation, testing and handover documentation. We work closely with main contractors, project managers and facilities teams to ensure programmes are met and disruption is minimised.
We also offer planned preventative maintenance (PPM) contracts for commercial clients who require regular electrical inspection and testing, ensuring ongoing compliance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are commercial EICRs a legal requirement?
Yes. Under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, employers have a legal duty to maintain electrical systems in a safe condition. A Commercial EICR every five years (or more frequently for higher-risk environments) is the standard method of demonstrating compliance.
Can you work outside normal business hours?
Yes. We regularly carry out commercial electrical work at evenings and weekends to avoid disruption to trading. This is included in our quotation at the time of pricing — no hidden uplift charges.
Do you offer maintenance contracts?
Yes. We offer planned preventative maintenance (PPM) contracts covering periodic inspection and testing, emergency lighting checks, PAT testing and reactive call-out. Contracts are priced individually based on premises size and requirements.
