Domestic Electrical

Our domestic electrical division handles all aspects of home electrical work — from full rewires and consumer unit replacements to additional sockets, lighting upgrades and fault diagnosis.

All domestic electrical work is carried out by Level 3 NVQ-qualified electricians and tested to BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations). On completion of any notifiable work, we issue the correct Minor Works Certificate or Electrical Installation Certificate through our NICEIC membership.

We cover homeowners, landlords with single properties, and housing associations across Eastbourne, Brighton, Hastings, Lewes and the wider East Sussex area. Our engineers carry full public liability insurance and are DBS checked.

Every job — however small — receives the same level of care and paperwork as a full rewire. We do not cut corners, and we do not leave without the work being right.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a certificate for electrical work in my home?

Yes. Any notifiable electrical work — including consumer unit replacements, new circuits, and work in kitchens or bathrooms — must be certified. As a NICEIC Approved Contractor, we self-certify all notifiable work and notify Building Control on your behalf.

How long does a full house rewire take?

A typical three-bedroom semi-detached property takes three to five days. We work methodically to minimise disruption and will agree a programme with you before we start.

How often should I have my home electrics tested?

For owner-occupiers, the recommended interval is every ten years. If you are a landlord, the Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector (England) Regulations 2020 require an EICR every five years, or on change of tenancy.
