Data & IT Cabling

We design and install structured cabling systems for data communications and IT networks — from small office installations through to large-scale multi-floor commercial and industrial infrastructure.

Our data cabling engineers are qualified to install and certify Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A and both single-mode and multi-mode fibre optic cabling. All installations are tested with calibrated Fluke equipment and certified on completion. We provide full test reports and as-installed drawings as standard.

We work closely with your IT team or managed service provider to ensure the infrastructure we install integrates correctly with your active equipment. We can also supply and install patch panels, server racks and cabinets, cable management and associated passive equipment.

For commercial and industrial clients, we also install VoIP telephone infrastructure, audio visual systems and structured cabling for building management systems. Our installations are designed to be scalable — future-proofing your infrastructure investment.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Cat6 and Cat6A?

Cat6 supports 1 Gigabit Ethernet at up to 100m and 10 Gigabit at shorter distances. Cat6A (Augmented Category 6) supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet at the full 100m channel length. For most offices, Cat6 is sufficient. If you are planning high-density data centre use or future-proofing for 10GbE across the full floor plate, Cat6A is the right choice.

Do you test and certify the cabling on completion?

Yes, always. We test every link using calibrated Fluke DSX CableAnalyzer equipment and provide a full certification report on completion. This verifies that each cable link meets the relevant standard (TIA-568 or ISO/IEC 11801) and gives you documented evidence of the installation quality.

Can you work around an existing live network?

Yes. We plan all network infrastructure work carefully to minimise disruption to live systems. Where patching or cut-overs are required, we coordinate with your IT team and can work out of hours to avoid impact on the business.
